Hip Precautions
You must adhere to these hip precautions for the first 3 months following hip replacement surgery to reduce the chance of a hip dislocation
Activities of daily living and transfers
Re-gaing independance with activities of dailiy living such as toileting and dressing are very important to patients. The occupational therapist will show you how to preform these tasks while protecting your new hip replacement. These videos will show you how these can be done safely.
Chair Transfer
This video demonstrates how to safely get on and off a chair in order to protect your new hip.
Toilet Transfer
This video demonstrates how to use the toilet safely in order to protect your new hip.
Bed Transfer

Car Transfers
