Your Occupational Therapist will assist you with your activities of daily living and equip you with the necessary tools to do these activities safely

Hip Precautions

You must adhere to these hip precautions for the first 3 months following hip replacement surgery to reduce the chance of a hip dislocation 

1. Do not bend the operated leg more than 90 degrees

2. Do not cross your legs

3. Do not twist the operated leg

4. Do not lie on your side

Activities of daily living and transfers

Re-gaing independance with activities of dailiy living such as toileting and dressing are very important to patients. The occupational therapist will show you how to preform these tasks while protecting your new hip replacement. These videos will show you how these can be done safely.

Chair Transfer
