We will discuss what you can expect from admission to discharge and the potential benefits and complications of your procedure.

The rehabilitation journey is of upmost importance in your recovery. There is a lot of information to take on board in a short period of time. 
The physiotherapy videos, nutrition tips and FAQs will act as a guide and reference to help you in your rehabilitation journey and will always be available to you.

2. Total Knee Replacement


This page brings you the patient, along your knee replacement journey. The joint school video is a one hour video with presentations from each of the orthopaedic team members. Each team member has their own page with extra information and instructional videos.


You will meet the Pre-Assessment team, most patients will require a pre-assesment consultation to assess their fitness for surgery. The preassesment clinic page outlines what you can expect from this consultation.

You will find a health questionnaire which you can print off and fill in and post into your preassesment clinic.


The Joint Replacement Nurse Specialist who will explain her role to you. On her page you will find a questionnaire, this is used to assess how your condition is impacting on your quality of life and the impact that the surgery has had on your quality of life.


The consultant Anesthesist will explain the procedures involved in doing your anesthetic and what you can expect


The Consultant Surgeon outlines the surgical technique, potential complications and expected benefits.
